WA.CLOTH is a fiber made from paper yarn that is kind to the body and the environment.
The material used is a specially twisted yarn made from polyester and paper thread. There are still technical limitations to how thin the paper can be, and it is difficult to achieve a delicate touch using paper thread alone. Therefore, by twisting it with polyester, we were able to create a delicate fabric. Through trial and error, we were able to come up with a material that is dry to the touch but not too rough.
It can be worn alone, but due to the delicate fabric it is slightly see-through.
It also doesn't get too stuffy, so it's recommended as an inner layer.
About paper thread: Using the fast-growing abaca plant as the raw material, Japanese craftsmen make high-quality paper, slit it into thin strips, and twist it into paper thread like paper string.
Even now, daily improvements are being made to turn the inelastic paper into paper thread.
