WA.CLOTH is a fiber made from paper yarn that is kind to the body and the environment.
The material used is a specially twisted yarn made from paper thread and cotton.
To ensure a sturdy fabric that will not lose its shape even when worn with a larger silhouette, the thickness of the cotton was carefully selected and the fabric was twisted to express the dry touch of paper thread. Compared to the same 100% cotton fabric, this fabric contains 67% paper thread, making it lighter, softer, and smoother to the touch.
A layer of air is created inside the paper thread, so it is warm when it is cold outside and cool when it is hot, making it suitable for use throughout the seasons.

About paper thread
Using the fast-growing abaca plant as its raw material, Japanese craftsmen turn it into high-quality paper, slit it into thin strips, and twist it into paper thread.
Even now, daily improvements are being made to turn the inelastic paper into paper thread.
Paper thread, which is made using the skilled techniques of Japanese craftsmen, is highly durable and has many functions, such as moisture absorption and release, dryness, and light weight.
